The ATC1 and ATC1R, K-type, pipe clamp thermocouples, can be used to take temperatures of pipes or any other cylindrical surface within their jaw range. Using a pipe clamp thermocouple greatly facilitates taking superheat or subcooling measurements. Use the ATC1 for most A/C units and the ATC1R for most residential and commercial refrigeration appliances. Both models can be used with any thermometer accepting a K-type thermocouple
